Authenticity

Research is a large part of what we do in Stronghold, using contemporary sources such as manuscripts and archeological evidence to support decisions on what our members wear to events.

Living History

We are keen to portray the customs and crafts as accurately as we can in the 21st century, from fibre crafts to feasting.

Combat

Our combat manual describes the systems we have in place to ensure safety while putting on an exciting display. We use both competitive and 'show' techniques, depending on what each event requires.
